I noticed its been quite sometime since I was last on here. I'm planning on fixing that. I want to be on here more and sharing hints, tips and tricks on fashion. In the last few months I've also discovered a whole new genre of fashion called "Steampunk". Absolutly love it. What started out as research for a halloween costume has morphed into a full fledged interest and hobby. I hope to do some designs up soon. As well as some upcycling of thrift store finds, of which I already have a few waiting to be done up.
So what is Steampunk, its what the victorian and edwardian age would be like today. If everything we did was steam powered including our phones and computers, its Jules Verne meets the 21st century. Just punch the the term steampunk into a search engine and you get all kinds of results, its awesome. Don't forget your goggles!!
Fall Fashion 2010, plum is the hot color, and boots of all kinds are still in.
Notice on the photo that the tall boots have rolled newspaper in them , I did this to help perserve there shape since I didn't have any boot trees to put in them. Just roll up several sheets of newspaper and tape with duct tape. The newspaper will also help absorb any sweat that is in them after wearing. By the way, any of these would be great with a steampunk outfit.
